OUR PROCESS

Patient Visits

01

Initial New Patient Visit

At the Center for Neurology, Headache, and Integrative Medicine, we prioritize getting to know you thoroughly. Your initial 60 minute visit includes filling out an intake form, a detailed discussion of your symptoms, a review of your medical records, and a comprehensive neurological exam. We'll collaboratively design a customized treatment plan and provide additional resources or referrals as needed using an integrative approach. You will leave with a plan of action, feeling empowered and confident.

02

Follow-up Visit

During your 30 min follow-up visit, we talk about how you're feeling, review your progress, your test results with a complete health update. We ask about diet, sleep, exercise, stress, medications, and side-effects. We'll track your progress, refine your treatment plan, answer questions, and provide ongoing support. Follow-ups are periodic check-ins to ensure optimal health and renew prescriptions.

03

Procedures

Our procedures are designed to effectively alleviate headache and facial pain. Botox injections may be used to manage symptoms of chronic migraines by temporarily paralyzing specific muscles. Nerve blocks and trigger point injections use lidocaine and bupivacaine to numb the area, targeting sore muscles in the neck. SPG blocks involve injecting numbing medication into the sphenopalatine ganglion area for pain relief. For acute migraine management, Dr. Kalidas utilizes magnesium, anti-nausea medications, and anti-inflammatories in infusions, with maintenance IV therapy available.
